David and Jadie Hager have been together for over 30 years. They met in YWAM in 1994 as they were both pursuing a deeper relationship with God. They were married in 1996 and followed God’s call to pursue a masters degree in theology at Regent University and later a doctorate from the King’s Seminary. Their passion is to see people grow in the fullness and power of the Holy Spirit with a solid theological foundation. Their journey has led them into the military as David has been a chaplain in the Army and Air Force. They have been senior pastors, church planters, and conference speakers throughout the country and overseas.
After growing up in church, they have seen all ends of the spectrum—from people with deep theological belief but no power of the Spirit, to people passionately pursuing the movement of the Spirit with little theological understanding. They feel the next move of God is going to be a powerful move that will combine the Word and the Spirit in a deeper way.
They started Equipt Ministries for the purpose of training up the church for this move. Their heart is to see people learn to read and understand the Bible for themselves. It does not take a seminary degree to find the deeper things in the Word, to look up and study the Greek and Hebrew meanings of words and passages, and to discern the meaning and application of the books of the Bible.
Anyone can learn to interact with the Holy Spirit as they read, to receive both knowledge and wisdom from the Word, and to put it all into practice as they bring forth the love and power of God in this generation. The ultimate goal is to go beyond training people for service, to equip them for the ministries God has called them to, to mature them in those ministries, and then release them to go and minister however and wherever God calls them.
