Our heart is to glorify God and reach the people of Northern Idaho with the Gospel of the Kingdom by developing a network of churches focused on real community and intentional discipleship.
Real community means a people of God living life together – the ups and downs. Sunday corporate gatherings will be focused not on a program and celebrity speaker, but on group learning, interaction and fellowship. We meet not only on Sundays as a corporate body, but also throughout the week, house to house, at coffee shops, in the gym, and out in town. It means not only learning the ‘religion’ of Christianity together but also experiencing the ‘relationship’ of the body through real personal interactions. We laugh with each other. We cry with each other. We pray with and for each other.
Intentional discipleship means the leadership of the church is truly executing the call in Ephesians for the church to have apostles, prophets, teachers, pastors and evangelists who are equipping the body for works of ministry. This includes regular, intentional meeting one on one with everyone in each micro-church. It means helping each member Identify their life calling from God, Explore different aspects of that call, Grow in their call and related spiritual giftings in a safe, loving environment, then release into their chosen ‘mission field’ here or abroad.
Equipping the saints into unity, maturity, and the full measure of Christ.
To build a Christ-centered community that trains, activates, and releases believers into their God-given calling.
David and Jadie Hager have been together for over 30 years. They met in YWAM in 1994 as they were both pursuing a deeper relationship with God. They were married in 1996 and followed God’s call to pursue a masters degree in theology at Regent University and later a doctorate from the King’s Seminary. Their passion is to see people grow in the fullness and power of the Holy Spirit with a solid theological foundation. Their journey has led them into the military as David has been a chaplain in the Army and Air Force. They have been senior pastors, church planters, and conference speakers throughout the country and overseas.
After growing up in church, they have seen all ends of the spectrum—from people with deep theological belief but no power of the Spirit, to people passionately pursuing the movement of the Spirit with little theological understanding. They feel the next move of God is going to be a powerful move that will combine the Word and the Spirit in a deeper way.
They started Equipt Ministries for the purpose of training up the church for this move. Their heart is to see people learn to read and understand the Bible for themselves. It does not take a seminary degree to find the deeper things in the Word, to look up and study the Greek and Hebrew meanings of words and passages, and to discern the meaning and application of the books of the Bible.
Anyone can learn to interact with the Holy Spirit as they read, to receive both knowledge and wisdom from the Word, and to put it all into practice as they bring forth the love and power of God in this generation. The ultimate goal is to go beyond training people for service, to equip them for the ministries God has called them to, to mature them in those ministries, and then release them to go and minister however and wherever God calls them.
Toby and Shannon have been married for 33 years, building a strong life centered on faith, commitment, and growth. They first met at church and quickly formed a connection that has carried them through every season of life, guided by their shared belief to “Grow Daily or Die Gradually.”
Together they are ordained pastors with over 30 years in ministry, passionate about loving people and sharing the love of Jesus. They love to connect people to the Holy Spirit and walk them through how to live a life with Him that is full of truth. They are also entrepreneurs who enjoy working side by side in business while continuing to serve others through their calling.
Their greatest joy is family. They have two adult daughters and a wonderful grandson who brings them so much joy. Whether in ministry, business, or family life, Toby and Shannon are devoted to living out their faith together and investing in the people God has placed in their lives.
